Hey all! We are here in Gemena and have spent some time at the Elikya center already! The first thing we saw when we got there were some brand new sewing machines!
There were a lot of happy tears when we realized that the sewing machines we were looking at were purchased by the sale of aprons at hope. We were able to see that project come full circle!!!
Thank you to all of the team at Hope involved in that process!
I have some pictures to start posting, and a number of the team have expressed interest in posting their own thoughts on the blog soon!
We will work on those this evening (but first it is time to have supper!!)
Anything we post will probably be in the next 3 hours (then they turn the generator off).
Much love!

In Paris
We made it to Paris! Thanks for your prayers! The delayed flight was able to depart earlier, and a stiff tail wind got us there 15 minutes ahead of the ORIGINAL arrival time!
Now we sit and wait for the next flight from Paris to Kinshasa.
I don't know that I will be able to update this too soon after we arrive in Kinshasa, but I will as soon as possible.
On behalf of the entire team...
Merci!!

We are sitting at Gate G-8 waiting for our flight. The plane is about an hour late, so we will not be taking off until 4:55.
That gets us in to Paris around 8:30am. We should have plenty of time to catch our flight, but that extra hour would have been more comfortable.
While we are not worried that WE will make the flight, pray that our bags make the transfer. It isn't terribly easy for our luggage to catch up to us in the Congo.
Thanks for praying for us!

22 hours to take-off!
We are pretty much packed and ready for take-off... Next major step is getting through airport security with all this stuff! We greatly appreciate the prayers and well-wishes of everyone. Your encouraging phone calls and emails mean a great deal to us!
